The fourth district is arguably one of the most beautiful and vital regions in the west.

It includes all of six counties (El Dorado, Amador, Alpine, Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne), and parts of four others (Fresno, Madera, Placer and Nevada). We are a major commercial thoroughfare connecting California to the rest of our country.

We are home to the natural jewels of Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park that draw 15 million visitors every year and stimulate billions of dollars in economic activity. We are 40% of our state’s watershed, an agricultural hub, and limitless outdoor recreation opportunities. We are thriving main streets, strong neighborhoods, growing small businesses and open spaces. We are suburbs, small towns, farms, forests, rivers and mountains.

We are young and old. Immigrants and native born. Some of us have been here a short time, and others have been here for generations.

This campaign is about uniting all of us in the common purpose of putting partisanship aside and putting our communities first.
